another Amy Jones Breakfast at THE BISTRO

June 30, 2011

We’d had a Big. Night. Out….

  • There was techila

GO JENNIFER - you party possum! 😉

  • There was a stage (dominated by US, of course)
  • … and heels had snapped off – literally. A jolly good show.
  • Home by 4:30 am. (At my age, one gets awfully excited about this)
WHAT WAS NEEDED – (9am the  next morning) – was a “blerry good brekkie”
THE BISTRO @ Blaauwberg Meat Specialities was the obvious choice.
See my first visit here.

By the time we finally got there it was already a hive of activity…

We were, understandably, in a bit of discomfort. We eased into it all gradually… some more than others 😉

getting her groove back...

preparing to gorge...

owner, Sarel Oberholzer, joined us for an Amy Jones Breakfast

BEING the little food warriors that we are… we battled on through the dull ache…

And it was all worth it.

One of the Burns brothers popped in to pick up his meat for the week – with his little cherub. He won our hearts (the cherub)… and quite a few sticks of biltong from Sarel.

The fresh produce and meats looked great. Fab community vibe for a Saturday morning.

Driving from town on the M5 highway – take the Ottery turnoff to the left. Turn left at robots. Go strait and over the bridge. At the bottom of the bridge, turn left in Shawcamp Road
